Berlin questions the authority of Brussels

The Germans are defending their economic interests firmly. They do not want to bear the cost of rescuing the eurozone countries that are struggling with the economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic. In order to prevent Berlin from being burdened with Italian or Spanish debts, the German constitutional court has questioned the competence of the European Court of Justice. The German judges simply stated that the disputed actions and decisions of EU bodies have no legal force in Germany.
